Early Biedermeier / Empire style oval coffee table, probably Vienna, Austria, circa 1820. Cherry veneer and solid wood. Intermediate painting with tapered decoration at the top, partially deburred and painted. Inlaid and ebonized central tray (black polished). Four eagle heads carved on the sides, gilded with gold leaf and partially ebonized. Restored and polished with shellac by hand. Dimensions: H 73 cm x W 94 cm x D 67.5 cm
