Pendulum Gilt Bronze Love Warrior Tribute Victories Of Lxvi 18th Henri Voisin (1733-+1815)

Variant of a clock created by the watchmaker Henri VOISIN (which is totally in bronze and the portrait held by the cherub is Henri IV instead of LXVI). The gilded and chiseled bronze clock represents Love, on a cloud overflowing with the pendulum, who left his plumed helmet, his shield and his quiver to pay homage to the victories of LXVI. These attributes of war are on the ground, a sign of a finished fight. The cherub has only kept his sword in his belt, he holds above the dial of the clock the portrait of LXVI in an oval frame with a knot. The rectangular base of the clock is in alabaster which brings out a frieze made of openwork and recessed acanthus leaf motifs. The clock is placed on four adjustable spinning top feet. The enamelled dial with Arabic numerals and domed and the finely openworked hands are gilded (note the missing glass). The 19th century suspension blade mechanism is marked Gilles Paris. It is complete and works but has not been overhauled. The clock is in good condition, it has been cleaned.
