Commemorative head representing a face inscribed in a circular space. Incised scarifications underline the cheeks, the chin and the neck, they are marked in relief on the temples. A headdress is marked by fan-shaped furrows. The terracotta is orange and brown, the whole is modeled. Originally from Ghana, Kwahu region, Akan culture. Provenance from a known, appraised private collection. A certificate of origin of collection will be provided on request.
