"Cult Statue, Losso People, Togo"
Very original altar statue representing a standing figure. The legs are arched, a circle defines his pelvis. Gadroons replace the navel and arms. The head is flat and carried forward. The mouth and eyes are signified by small incisions.
This statue is very expressive and dynamic despite a static pose.
Wood with a crusty patina in places (cracks).
