Sideboard Sideboard In Mahogany, Louis XVI Style - Early 20th Century

Entre-Deux furniture in solid Mahogany and Moiré Mahogany veneer, Louis XVI style. Its top is a pretty Green Marble from the Alps with white veining, 3 cm thick, cut to Gorge on its perimeter. Its front angles are cut out with projections, thus marrying the lines of the uprights which are also. This sideboard offers several storage spaces and in particular two belt drawers, assembled in 'Dovetails', with a simple wooden blocking system. They are equipped with round pull handles chiselled into Laurel wreaths and are embellished, on either side, with beaded brass friezes forming frames and thus highlighting the two recessed panels which constitute each of these drawers. Below, this Serving Cabinet consists of a niche with three open sides, with a Moiré Mahogany back enhanced by an ogee rod. The visible parts of the rear pillars are grooved, thus recalling the streaks of the front columns. Note that these are topped with two finely crafted Bronzes, representing a bouquet of flowers suspended from a ribbon. Finally, in the lower part of this Sideboard, two Moiré Mahogany doors reveal a bare compartment offering storage 34 cm high. The facades consist of panels recessed from each other, underlined by molded wooden frames, and beaded friezes identical to those of the drawers. The middle panel is cut with Greek Corners topped with Bronze Fleurettes. These doors are provided with keyholes made of intertwined laurel wreaths, and the one on the right is equipped with a lock with top and bottom hooks in working order. The furniture is supplied with its key.
