"Woman with Harlequin" oil on canvas by Jean-Claude Besson-Girard, Lyonnais artist born in 1938 and died in 2021. Painting painted in September 1959 dated and signed, in a fairy large and almost square format. The work is done with a knife on a thick canvas with a pronounced weft and a thin preparatory layer, which determines the very matt aspect of the fresco-like painting. Picasso's influence is evident (subject and palette). Simple frame with wooden sticks, missing the stick at the top. Two small tears restored by our workshop.
