Eugène Cicéri (1813-1890) Lovely Animated Maritime Landscape In Watercolor

Lovely little deliciously bluish watercolor depicting a maritime landscape animated by children fishing on the rocks, one of them holding a landing net. On the horizon a sailing boat, on the right a rocky coast and a few houses. Monogrammed in brown ink E. C for Eugène Cicéri at the bottom right, completed by the delicate cartouche in his name. It is perfectly highlighted by its rich original passe-partout traced and hand-colored with a cartouche in the name of the artist as well as by its delicate gilt wood frame with nicely oval shaped channels. A very beautiful finely bubbled and wavy old glass completes the whole. Dimensions: 9.5 cm x 7.5 cm at sight 27.2 cm x 23 cm with its channel frame A high quality set, all smooth and harmonious, a small jewel of delicacy from this artist recognized to excel in landscape art!
