Delicate rug with central ivory medallion inlaid with foliage, garlands of arabesque flowers surrounding a sky/night blue starry medallion on a poppy red background.
These rugs are made in the city of Isfahan in southwestern Iran. They are considered today as some of the finest Persian rugs.They are characterized by very high density, richly detailed patterns and high quality materials.
Size : 160x100 cm
Condition : worn edges and selvedges, some white knots visible in the red background, wear to the fringes shortened by time.
