18th Century Gilded Carved Wooden Tabernacle Door

A rare oval tabernacle door in its original gilding, featuring a crown of thorns, a reed symbolizing the scepter of the King of the Jews, and a spear. Engraved lotus flowers and foliage complete the design. The other side retains its two wrought-iron latches and hinges; the oxblood red color is original. The lock is missing. In good condition, it consists of two panels that need to be reattached. 18th century
