With twenty years of experience in the sale and appraisal of 17th and 18th century furniture, works and objects of art, I created the company Louis de Montignacq to assist buyers and collectors from all over the world in choosing beautiful pieces from the 16th to the 20th centuries. I am also looking for paintings, exceptional objects and beautiful furniture.
After training in art history and archaeology at the Ecole du Louvre and the Sorbonne University, where I was a lecturer for a few years, I first did research on our contemporary relationship with works of art. Then I combined a lecturer activity with that of the art market. I regularly give lectures on painting for associations of friends of museums.
