Nemean Lion Wall Clock, Gilt Bronze, Louis XVI Style, Late 19th Century.

Wall clock called "with the Nemean lion", in gilt bronze, molded and chiseled with decoration of post friezes, Greek fillets, acanthus leaves, seeds, ram's heads, fluting, pine cones and the skin and muzzle of the lion suspended around the dial. It is surmounted by an Antique urn with damping. Enameled dial indicating the hours in Roman numerals, the minutes in Arabic numerals.

Some small accidents on the body, as well as on the dial (see photos). In working order: the mechanism was completely overhauled by a specialist watchmaker in Paris in the first half of 2025 (invoice available).

Pendulumand winding key for the clock and bell are included.The clockhas a pendulum mechanism; to restart it, the carter must be secured verticallyto allow the pendulum to move. We recommend consulting a watchmaker forassistance with this operation.
