Louis XVIII, King of France (1814-1824). Beveled glass hanging medallion, mounted in gilded brass, containing a crystal-ceramic representing him in profile bust and in uniform wearing decorations, signed on the back Desprez, n°2 rue des Récolets, in Paris. Good condition, wear of time. Work of the Cristallerie Desprez, Restoration period. Diam.: 8.8 cm.

Desprez was a sculptor at the Manufacture de Sèvres from 1773 to 1792, where he was appointed first sculptor in 1780.
