France or Italy, 1930s / 1950s, very elegant removable writing box in mahogany-type inlaid wood containing a mail kit. The two internal trays as well as the upper part for the pens are covered with leather. A vertical five-row file cabinet allows you to store mail and various documents. Two small drawers on the front and a small unclosed space are intended to contain small objects. Very beautiful object as decorative as useful. Good condition except for small gaps in the marquetry and some cracks and slight visible wear. Nothing unusual compared to the age of the room. Dimensions in closed position: Width 33 cm.
