China, 19th century or earlier, very pretty bronze sculpture depicting Guandi, one of the most popular gods in China. Raised to the rank of Bodhisattva by Buddhism, he is a model of virtue by Confucianism which sees in him the holy warrior; pendant to Confucius the literate saint. Realization of good quality restoring the realism and the movement of the subject. Height 30 cm. Good condition except for slight wear, a nice oxidation of the patina and the missing lance in the left hand. We take particular care of our packaging by using optimum protection.
