Pair Of Empire Candlesticks, XIXth Century

This pair of patinated bronze and gilded bronze candlesticks is dated from the 19th century and its patterns leave no doubt about it! The bobeches are decorated with a frieze of stripes of hearts and the binets are decorated with carved acanthus leaves.

Each barrel is fluted and adorned with a foliated crown in gilded bronze while its lower part is decorated with a ring of Egyptian motifs, all resting on powerful tripod feet in lion claws.
