18th Century Mazarin Desk
Charming and rare little lady's desk called "Mazarin" in elm, from the 18th century.
It opens with 7 drawers on two boxes and a small door in the central niche.
The tray is fretted on the front, like the crosspieces of the boxes and flat sides.
The rounded feet are terminated by coiled shells (the feet have been restored to a height of 15 cm).
The bronze pull handles are from the period, it has its three old locks (the keys are recent).
We note the restoration of a drawer front.
Typical of the Ile de France region, it recalls, by the shape of these drawers, the dressers of this region.
