Monoxyle Boxwood Snuffbox: Garden Of Eden, Louis XIV Period, Fine Treen

Large snuffbox of eventful shape,  boxwood body dug in one piece, carved on all exterior faces: radiant shell on bottom, around: 4 Cherubim, carriers of palms, in beautiful attitudes, carved ronde bosse. Massive hinge, cut out from brass, rustic riveting. Cover is remarkable: Garden of Eden just before Satan, a beauty.
Good dimensions, 9.5cm x 5cm x 4cm;
Louis XIV or Regency period, both popular and precious work.
The snuff box has suffered for 300 years, it has split in several places, a good restorer had a lot of trouble before returning it to me in the beautiful condition that you see, but we can still see some scars... (red arrows)
