System Coffee Table, 18th C.
An 18th century system salon table in marquetry. Contoured on all sides, it has a marquetry of kingwood and rosewood in reserves. The top, mounted on a slide, slides backwards; it releases the apron drawer which, when open, has two sliding compartments and a central compartment covered by an inlaid flap and a cover concealed by a sliding bottom. The slightly arched feet rest on gilt bronze clogs. Very good state. Restorations: French polish. Period: 18th century. Circa: 1760-1775
