Extremely rare pair of Louis XV period scissors in sterling silver hallmarked with the two guarantee hallmarks of the city of Brussels (head of Saint-Michel and Brabant lion). The silversmith's mark and the year are no longer visible. To be dated around 1750. In a remarkable state of preservation. Both blades are steel and are most likely the original ones judging from their patina and very elegant shape typical for the mid-eighteenth century.
