Icon of Christ Pantocrator (almighty).
It comes from central Russia and dates from the middle of the 19th century.
Christ in glory is represented in bust, blessing with his right hand and holding in his left hand a terrestrial globe (symbol of his omnipotence).
The icon is painted with tempera (a mixture of egg yolk and natural pigments) on a wooden panel in warm tones.
Good general state of conservation. Wear of time, cracks and some gaps visible in the photos.
This icon is sold with its certificate of origin and a complete description of the work.
