Jean Marais (1913-1998)
Actor, director, writer, Jean Marais retired to the Alps- Maritimes in the 1970s, first in Cabris where he spent fifteen years (a boulevard in the town near the house he lived in bears his name) then in Vallauris where he practiced pottery, sculpture and theater. He opened a store there and even an art gallery thanks to a couple of potter friends.
