Free Shipping Insurance Included (E-U only)Bronze matrix, 16th century
This oval matrix, edged by a four-segmented frieze, depicts a calvary scenery: alive on the cross, the Christ is crowned by a rayed nimbus, and wears a short perizonium with a long flap that flies on the side. A semi-circular cloud, and moon and sun, go along with the cross.
On both sides, Saint John and the Virgin Mary are in lamentation, and in the backgound an architectural landscape represents Jerusalem.
Excellent condition, a few remains of gold.
