Claude I SENE (1724-1792) - Joiner-cabinetmaker. Paris. Master on July 20, 1743.
Claude I Sené, son of Jean Sené, received his master's degree on July 20, 1743.
Having married a sister of the carpenter Jean-Etienne Saint-Georges, he settled with his brother-in-law rue de Cléry under the sign of "Grand Saint-Georges". Although working in the same workshop, the two men were independent and each signed their own works.
Claude I Sené left very beautiful Louis XV seats, comfortable and elegant, often mounted on a frame. On the other hand, there are very few Louis XVI seats except for a magnificent sofa with confidants with a backrest made up of three medallions "sculpted with wreaths of roses, olive branches, laurel torus, grapes heart and acanthus."
Claude Sené ceased to exercise his profession in 1780
