DESK "Joseph Crémer 1811/1878" marquetry in rosewood, lemon and blackened pear wood, decorated with gilded bronze, brass and pewter with its original azure blue writing mat. From the Napoleon III period This scriban desk from the Crémer house is made up of two parts: The upper part has a showcase whose doors are framed by two columns and a lace cornice, all inlaid with brass and pewter. The office part is composed of a scriban with three drawers veneered in lemon wood as well as its original carpet in azure blue velvet. Its cylindrical rosewood leaf is inlaid with brass and pewter. In its center is present an inlay of Lapis Lazuli style shellac typical of Joseph Crémer. The whole piece of furniture rests on four turned feet adorned with bronze rings and clogs, connected by an x-shaped spacer inlaid with brass and pewter nets.
