This pair of traditional Japanese braziers, called hibachi, are made of tinted Zelkova/ Keyaki wood.,
a type of Japanese elm. They were used for heating traditional houses but are often used today as planters.
Each square container has two openings forming hollow side handles, lined with metal. Brass interiors.
Showa period, around 1950/60.
Good condition, minimal traces of use. 30x30x23.5
