Superb pair of polychrome glazed ceramic garden stools, known as sancai ("three colors"), decorated in relief with tigers amidst a stylized landscape. Early 20th-century Chinese work, remarkable for the richness of its glazes and the expressive modeling of the animals. These pieces can be used as seats, plant stands, or decorative elements in an eclectic interior.
