"Silver Jug France Around 1850"
Jug covered with silver guilloché baluster, engraved, resting on a circular base. Body is decorated with revolving bouquets of flowers in reserves on two registers, the body is engraved with double coats of arms under the crown of a marquis. The pouring spout is fitted with a "duck" spout cover, the original side handle is in ivory in the shape of a volute. The projection lid is bordered by a frieze of palmettes and topped with a spinning top. The lid has a hook closure system. Orientalist style. 950/1000 silver, Minerva hallmarks.
