"Louis XVI Coffee Pot, 1778, Brussels, Sterling Silver"
Large and majestic tripod coffee pot from the Louis Seize period with abundant neoclassical decorations. In a flamboyant Louis XVI style, it is richly decorated from top to bottom with typical elements for this style: laurel wreaths, draperies, medallions with portraits of Roman emperors, covered vases, etc. The decoration is continued in the carved wooden handle which is probably original. With these 37 cm in height and these 1250 grams, it is among the largest jugs known to the hallmark of the city of Brussels.
