In 1874, Philippe Zacharie was appointed assistant professor at the lycée in Rouen. In 1879, he became a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen. He obtains a third medal at the Salon of French artists of 1883. He loses almost all of his works carried out during 30 years during the fire of the museum of antiques on April 21, 1894.
