A gilded bronze sculpture of a rabbit, ears erect, body in a ball, standing on a naturalistic oval terrace. The base is in black marble from Belgium. Antique proof signed BARYE on the terrace on the left of the rabbit, cast by the Barye workshop. The sculpture was redecorated in the middle of the 20th century. Slight gears on the marble base. No posthumous edition is attested.
