"Marret-jarry - Rare Tea & Coffee Service Sterling Silver St. Orientalist Mid XIX °"
Maîtres-Orfèvres: Marret-Jarry La bijouterie Joaillerie, la haute fantaisie 16, rue Vivienne in Paris Insculpations in 1853 and 1854. Rare and superb service in sterling silver, four pieces on their matching tray (the latter in silver metal) by the goldsmiths Marret-Jarry active in Paris, mid-19th century. With a beautiful circular shape, with a flat bottom, the body of each piece is surrounded at mid-height by imposing amatis nets on a plain base, thus isolating and highlighting all the ornamental details. These are made up of splendid geometric patterns, imposing friezes of Nasrid flowers and plant arabesques on a mat background. The lid is executed in the oriental style, the handles of the jugs finely enhanced with large geometric stripes. The whole is lightened by elegant, fine and sober pouring spouts, domed lids with an Arabian character, and the tops outlets. Completely remarkable carving work carried out with great talent by exceptional goldsmiths. Minerva 1st title guarantee mark (950/1000) inscribed on each of the parts and lids. Jarret-Marry master silversmiths stamps on the reverse (on diamond-shaped punch). Tray in silver metal (resilvered), erased central monogram, micro-marks, no blow or deformation. This very rare and precious service will underline the prestige of the most demanding tables in terms of refinement and elegance. Excellent conditions (micro-marks, micro-scratches from normal use), Teapot - Tea Pot: 20 cm. / 7. 87 in. 696 Gr. Coffee maker - Coffee Pot: 27 cm. / 10. 63 in. 708 Gr.
