Octagonal porcelain vase / jar Arita, Hizen Japan 17th century (circa 1660-80). Blue decoration under cover of birds, plants, rocks and flowers. On the upper edge patterns of friezes and leaves surrounding cartouches showing Shishi dogs or dragons in the clouds. Height: 32.5 cm / Width: 26 cm In very good condition, pierced below with some visible cooking defects. Cover is Missing.
