Bronze bust, Diane de Poitiers signed Houdon (1741-1828)
After the model by Jean Goujon (1510-1572)
On a marble plinth, signed on the shoulder Houdon.
Very good quality of casting and a rare model signed by Jean-Antoine Houdon. We find his Diane the huntress (bust and full-length) but the model representing Diane de Poitiers (now in the Louvre) signed Houdon is much rarer.
