XVII th century Italian cabinet.
The six fronts of the drawers are tortoise shell palaces.
The front part of the coin cabinet is covered with exotic wood: ebony a few millimeters thick.
The 4 drawers open individually.
The two drawers on the right, at the bottom, are in fact a single drawer that hides a little secret.
Originally, in two upper drawers on the right they had 2 pins to lock them from below.
The two locking pins could only be opened by opening the key to the drawer below.
You can see the holes at the base of the drawers.
There are slight deformations of the wood and some gaps, see photos.
