Artist: Rodier à Paris
Important pendulum in Siena marble and bronze. Pendulum surmounted by a bronze hunting with hounds by Christophe Fratin (1801-1864) with medal patina. The bronze base richly decorated with patterns of foliage, gadroons and palms. The silvered dial with Roman numerals and signed Rodier in Paris, (it was listed in Paris in 1812 rue des Petits Champs as a clock) The vogue for animal clocks is considerable in the 18th century. As for the wire movement, it bears the signature Honoré Pons (1773-1851), an important collection of mechanisms of which is kept at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Paris. .
