The laquer is considered as one of the traditionnal painting craft in Vietnam, even though we think more often of China and Japan. The village Tuong Binh Hiep is famous in the whole country since centuries for being the birthplace of the laquer art. Since 1930, the main place isHanoï, gathering the most famous artists such as Tran Dinh Tho, Nguyen Gia Tri, Pham Hau, Nguyen Khang, Tran Van Can or even Dinh Van Thanh.
