Mandingo - Malinke - Or "sofa" Saber

Mandingo saber. Also called "Sofa", these Malinke sabers were intended for the horsemen called sofa: the latter distinguished themselves in the war led at the end of the 19th century by Samory against the French who were then colonizing West Africa.
