The 17 volumes. Gabriel-Albert-Auguste Hanotaux is a French diplomat, historian and politician, born in Beaurevoir (Aisne) on November 19, 1853 and died in Paris on April 11, 1944 (aged 90). He is secretary to Jules Derry and deputy for Aisne as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was elected to the Académie française in 1897. An excellent work on the First World War.
