New edition augmented with unpublished letters, published with notes and appendices under the patronage of the French Academy by Ch. Urbain and E. Levesque. One volume of tables, followed by a chronology of Bossuet's life. Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet, author of the famous Funeral Orations, tutor to the Dauphin Louis of France, was best known for his sermons, of which only about a third survive today (200 out of approximately 600).
