Important pair of Louis XVI style sconces with two sconces in gilded and chiseled bronze. The barrel decorated with rudent grooves and laurel garlands is topped with an urn in a fire pot. Sconces chiseled with acanthus leaves, fluted bobeches. Beautiful gilding, after a model by Jean-Louis Prieur. Around 1880. Height 44 cm, width 30 cm. Similar models are kept at the Louvre, the Decorative Arts Museum in Lyon, the Württembergisches Landesmuseum in Stuttgart, as well as the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
