Paul Sormani (1817-1866) Rare mahogany and Martin varnish dressing table. Curved and decorated on all sides, it opens with a flap and five drawers. Decorated with scrollwork on a powdered green gold background. The top decorated with Commedia Dell'Arte. Interior with beveled mirror, silk trim with floral motif. Lock signed Paul Sormani, 10 rue Charlot, Paris. The front and back with antique country decorations. The sides depicting The Crow and the Fox. Arched legs.
