The “gendarme’s hat” cornice is embellished with a fruit basket in bloomcarved in relief, while the openwork lower crossbar is adorned witholive branches centered around an urnOpens via two glass-paned doors adorned with curved crossbars finelycarved with scrollwork and foliage, featuring 2 interior shelvesThe slightly rounded side panels rest on curved legs. Original hardware and a functional rear lock with its key. Conservation restoration and a wax finish carried out in our workshop. Beautiful patina

*The “verrier” or “verriau” is a small wall-mounted kitchen cabinet in the pureProvençal tradition—a region where the “vaisselier” (dish cabinet) was virtually nonexistent andwhere it was replaced by a charming array of small pieces of furniture withvarious functions: the panetière, mounted above the kneading trough (for storingbread), the escudelié (for storing earthenware), the estagnié (forstoring pewter), the saliero (or salt box), the farniero (for dustingfish with flour), the couteliero (or knife holder), and finally the verriero (forstoring glasses and carafes).
