Folding country armchair.
Brass, stainless steel and leather.

Bamboo style furniture is one of the specialties of the great Parisian house Jansen. Brass rings decorate the white metal of the mounts to remind the bamboo and the feet, the back and the armrests are finished with brass ornaments.
These models are similar to those created for Shah Mohamed Rez Pahlavi, in Persepolis, on the occasion of the 2500th anniversary of the Empire of Iran. The unprecedentedly lavish festivities took Jansen more than ten years to complete. Furnitures with the same treatment of the metal mounts were present in some of the guest rooms.
