Charles X Cut Crystal Casket With Ormolu Mounts.
A rectangular cut-crystal casket with a "cut diamond" in its lower part and a large pointed cut. The crystal is set in a gilt bronze frame decorated with finely chiseled flower bands and foliage. The lock is decorated with a puttis holding wreaths of flowers.This box by the fineness of the size of the crystal and by the quality of bronze is representative of the decorative objects of the French Restauration and especially the production of Le Creusot.
