Gold Snuff Box, Early 19th Century, Master Goldsmith Augustin-andré Héguin
Rectangular yellow gold tabatière with rounded corners. The lid and base are adorned with a guilloché decoration of lattice motifs adorned in their center with a flower. A chased frieze of leaves, flowers and palmettes on an amati background, alternating matt and polished surfaces, testifies to the high quality of the goldsmith's work. The sides feature the same decoration, combining guilloché reserves and finely engraved frames. The lid is hinged, revealing a plain, carefully polished interior characteristic of luxury snuff boxes.
Punch marks with old man's head, bear and cock of 3rd title, Paris, 1798-1809.
Two eagle heads
