Large Swedish cartel in gilded wood in Victorian style signed on the Rob dial. Engstrom and located in Stockholm. Elegant neoclassical Empire style decor animated in the upper part of a ribboned and floral motif supported by a laurel wreath flanked by winged sphinxes resting on an architectural terrace forming a pediment decorated with a frieze with a rosette and centered by a shell surrounded by drapes and amounts in console. Beautiful gilding, note some lacks: tail on the left sphinx, key and balance). Dimensions: 63cm high X 52cm wide. ROB. ENGSTRÖM IS ONE OF THE OLDEST WATCHMAKERS IN NORTHERN EUROPE.
