Pair Of Porcelain Vases With Imari Decor And Gilt Bronze Mount, End Of The 18th Century

Pair of polychrome porcelain vases with Imari decoration from the end of the 18th century, adorned with a gilt bronze mount from the 19th century.

The decoration of the vases, composed of chrysanthemums and decorated with traditional blue and red colors on a white background, remains very elegant. The composition is slightly different from one vase to another.

The base and the inner edge of the collar are adorned with a Louis XVI style chiseled and gilded bronze frame, composed of a torus of laurels. The bronzes are finely chiseled and they are embellished with a very beautiful gilding which has just been cleaned.

The texture of the porcelain has minor imperfections: pitting of the enamel, indentations, small fel of cooking, hair at the base on one of them.
