J. Willems "Portrait of a Rwandan" oil on canvas mounted on panel 61 X 50 cm, mounted in a beautiful exotic wood frame adorned with silver rods 73 X 63 cm. Belgian school circa 1930. A small accident on the left shoulder deserves cleaning. This portrait full of nobility of a man proudly wearing traditional dress and especially this hairstyle as strange as characteristic, the amasunzu, worn by the nobles and dignitaries of this country at the time which quickly put us on the trail of the origin of the model.
