Stunning XIXth century Persian (Iran) Kindjal / dagger - rather than Caucasian, origin often more common for this kind of bladed weapon.

The steel blade is very deep damascened with gold, tanned - slightly bluish except on cuts.

The edges of the blade are also damasked with gold, which is visible all around between the 2 parts of the handle, in bone and in black and dark patina horn.

The 2 handle flats are held by two large screws, also damascened with gold.

Its original wooden scabbard is covered in crimson velvet and matte black leather, and the end cap in turned ivory.

An iron ring, also damasked in gold, surrounds the scabbard, allowing the dagger to be hung on the belt.

Sizes 46.5 * 5.5 * 2.5cm

Very good condition, especially the 2 blade damasked parts; some surface arres punctures on the blade (please check photos) and a light fel on the ivory button.

Very nice collector's knife. No international shipping to some countries, in accordance with applied regulation.
