Charming oil on canvas depicting a landscape of the Creuse valley. The colors are bright. Very nice perspective. This painting is sold framed. It is signed lower left Louis Peyrat. Dimensions: frame: 48.5 cm X 56.5 cm canvas 33 cm X 41 cm Louis Peyrat (1911-1999) French painter born November 30, 1911 at La Gorceix in Saint Germain Les Belles, near Limoges. He apprenticed in carpentry, at the same time, he studied by correspondence at the universal school, received his competitive examination, he worked in an architectural firm in Limoges. For his leisure, he attended the School of Decorative Arts in Limoges, then from 1934 he devoted himself to painting. In 1948 he exhibited at the Magadoux gallery in Limoges, then in Royan and in many other galleries. From 1958, he painted views of Paris, and particularly of Montmartre, which made his success. He has access to the very famous Cercle Volney and to Parisian galleries such as the Roussard gallery.
